Our Story

Our journey at Uprety Home Care has a heartfelt beginning, driven by a deep connection to family and a profound appreciation for the nursing profession. As a registered nurse, our founder was inspired by her close bond with her beloved grandmother, who relied on nurses for care and support due to her health issues. Her grandmother’s admiration for nurses instilled a lifelong dream in our founder to follow in their footsteps.

After completing her nursing studies and graduating as a nurse, our founder’s grandmother passed away. Although saddened by her loss, the memory of her grandmother’s admiration for nurses fueled our founder’s passion for the field. She pursued her career in aged care, community nursing, and palliative settings, where her heart found solace and purpose.

In 2020, she took the courageous step to venture into sole trader nursing, providing compassionate care to those in need. In 2021, she expanded her endeavor, establishing Uprety Home Care as a company. The name “Uprety” holds a special significance, as it was her grandmother’s last name, given to her as a symbol of love and dedication. Naming the company after her grandmother was a beautiful tribute, allowing her memory to live on through the work of Uprety Home Care.

Our founder’s own experiences witnessing nurses provide care to her grandmother in the comfort of her home deeply impacted her. It was her grandmother’s wish to continue living independently at home until the very end, with nurses providing the care she needed. This profound desire to preserve independence and allow others to age in their own homes became the guiding principle for Uprety Home Care.
